The Department of Fashion Technology at Gandhinagar NIFT offers the degree - Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production)

The four year bachelor program imparts conceptual, theoretical and practical knowledge pertaining to apparel manufacturing technology. The emphasis is on best practices in apparel production coupled with understanding of information technology related to apparel production industry.  

The program prepares professionals who are capable to significantly contribute to the fashion technology industry.

The Department of Fashion Technology at Gandhinagar has state-of-the-art construction lab, Pattern Making lab, Computer labs and Air-conditioned class rooms to facilitate the rigorous learning.

Pattern Making and Garment Construction Labs

Department's pattern making labs are having more than Fifty dress forms of male, female, kids of various sizes.

More than 100 sewing machines of different latest technology including

• SR3000 Automatic Shirt form machines
• Automatic SNLS Machines
• Overlock Machines
• Flat Lock Machines
• Lock Stitch button attachments
• Bend knife machines
• Gas / Electric Boiler for steam iron

Computer Labs

Six computer labs wiht latest desktops and industry standard software. The cmapus has a Local Area Network of more than 250 computers, dedicated Internet connection and WiFi facility.
